Isn't the Dangwai movement generally spelled Tang Wai?

Yes, I'll move it. --Jiang | Talk 10:00, 9 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Why was this page moved to [Tang Wai]? I've seen it in academic texts as [Tangwai], but don't have time to fix the double redirects if I move it now. --Jiang 19:24, 17 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Actually, Tangwai might be preferable. I just know that "Tang wai" definitely looked weird, and a preliminary search on Google turned up some "Tang Wai" instances. Also, I looked at the comment at the top of this talk page, which spells it "Tang Wai", and assumed the poster knew what he or she was talking about. I'd be fine with moving it to Tangwai. --Lowellian 19:31, Mar 17, 2004 (UTC)

Yes, go ahead. --Jiang

[edit] Pinyin vs. Wade-Giles

Just wanted to sugges, though, that we realize that Wade-Giles may not exist as prevalently as it does today forever...if we put Pinyin and Wade-Giles on equal footing (e.g. boldfacing/capitalzing the Pinyin), this may be helpful to some people. Thanks ~ Dpr 01:58, 17 Apr 2005 (UTC)
