Please note that the ortanique fruit and plant were created by experimentations of David Daniel Phillips, JP, of Davyton, Manchester, Jamaica, who graciously shared his ideas with fellow planter, Charles Jackson. Please edit to add Mr. Phillips' name before that of Mr. Jackson. The Phillips family will be celebrating the 125th anniversary of the creation of the ortanique shortly.
