[edit] Vandalism
We have faced vandalism, and judging by an edit summary I beleive it was someone operating on the IRC. Crazyboy899 20:25, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Additional Links?
I suggest adding links to the download page, about page, etc etc along with proper citations. I might go through later and try to do it myself, if you don't like it just undo the changes. (btw, this is alecwh from the irc) Alecwh (talk) 10:59, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] added redirect from 'tangocms' search
Added redirect when searching 'tangocms'. The first letter of wiki articles are case insensitive, so Tangocms should work too. Alecwh (talk) 07:21, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] necessary?
It was never set out that TangoCMS would become a content management system, instead the project started back in early 2006 when the founder, Alex Cartwright, began a project to create a browser-based MMORPG with a friend, called "Invasion". During the first month work had started on the AdminCP for the project, however shortly after, Alex lost contact with the other developer and so development on the MMORPG stopped.
Is the information on the MMORPG really necessary? I feel like we should include the history of the CMS in question, when it was actually planned to be a CMS. Not the intent BEFORE the CMS...
Also, Alex is said to have started the MMORPG with a "friend". Later, he is referred to as "the other developer". Might be easier to understand to make a common pronoun. Alecwh (talk) 22:59, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's fine personally, it goes into the history of the software, where it came from etc. It outlines the circumstances of the software, we may as well go over to Penicillin and take out the explanation of how that was discovered. Crazyboy899 (talk) 17:58, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- Quite a bizarre comparison, seeing as the scope of Penicillin and it's discovery is slightly more important than TangoCMS, as much as I love both. But yes, there's no problem with having the introduction there. J O R D A N [talk ] 15:09, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well, both stories are alike. Sort of. Ok, not a lot. Crazyboy899 (talk) 15:55, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Point taken. Thanks for your input. Alecwh (talk) 22:22, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
