[edit] What constitutes cruft

...and what constitutes legitimately broad-reaching links and items of interest? TheCoffee, I noticed you took a pretty big hatchet the last time you swooped in here. I agree that the resorts and restaurants were staring to get out of hand (this isn't meant to be a phone directory, after all), but there were a few items there that I thought were acceptable, such as Tanay Geographic and possibly that 4x4 off roading location (assuming it's on-going and not merely recounting a single event in recent history). So what do you (or anyone else monitoring this page) think? If I haven't heard back in a few weeks, I'll add back some of it. Keep in mind that I am the same Brog that's deleting 98% of the East Rizal cruft in Wikimapia. -- Brog Likes Rocks 03:23, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Often when people are writing about their home towns the article begins to transform from "Tanay, Rizal" to "List of things that exist in Tanay, Rizal". The resorts are probably verifiable and can be re-added as prose if there are sources about them. As for the external links... I guess that Tanay Geographic is acceptable, just use discretion and follow the external links guidelines. By the way I've never been to Tanay so I can't speak from personal experience. :p TheCoffee 06:37, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
