Tamsen Fadal (born December 4, 1970) is an Emmy Award Winning television reporter for WPIX in New York City, for the morning news. Previously she was a reporter at WCBS in New York.[1]
Tamsen Fadal has more than a decade of experience covering stories ranging from the Columbia Shuttle Crash to the London Bombings to the war on terror. She began her broadcasting career as a morning drive anchor for WHNZ Radio in Tampa, Florida shortly after graduating from the University of South Florida in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. In 2002, she traveled to Afghanistan with the American troops reporting on the war. She was also sent to Air Force bases in London and Germany to report on local troops during Operation Enduring Freedom. Prior to that, Ms. Fadal reported for WPGH-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, WFTV in Orlando, Florida and WOWK-TV in Charleston, West Virginia and KYW-TV in Philadelphia doing investigative journalism. In 2004, she joined WCBS in New York City on her way to WPIX in March 2008. Ms. Fadal was awarded an Emmy in 2005 for her work as an Investigative Reporter. She was also awarded a Broadcast Journalism award in 2004 by the National Air Disaster Foundation [NADF] post 9/11, for contributions leading to improved aviation safety. Ms. Fadal was named the 2004 Outstanding Young Alumnus Award Recipient.
Tamsen Fadal is extremely active in the fight against Breast Cancer. After losing her mother to the disease in 1990, she continues to dedicate her free time and energy to working with the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation in the fight for a cure. Ms. Fadal resides in Manhattan with her husband, Matt Titus of Lifetime Television's Matched In Manhattan. The two recently co-authored the book, Why Hasn't He Called? published by McGraw-Hill.
