Tammy van Wisse

Tammy van Wisse (born July 23, 1968 in Melbourne, Victoria) is an swimmer from Australia. As a marathon swimmer, she has completed many great feats, including the 2001 swim of the Murray River, a distance of 2,438 kilometres and the English Channel in 1993 in a time of 8 h 35 mins and again 1994 in a time of 8 h 33 mins.[1] Today she predominantly works as an environmentalist and a motivational speaker.
