Tamkang University (traditional Chinese: 淡江大學; simplified Chinese: 淡江大学; Hanyu Pinyin: dànjiang Dàxúe; Tongyong Pinyin: dànjiang Dàsyúe; Wade-Giles: tàn-chiang ta-hsüeh; abbreviated as TKU) is a private Taiwanese university located in Danshuei township, Taipei County. Founded in 1950 as a junior college of English literature, the college has expanded into a full university with 12 colleges today. This university is noted for its scenic campus.

The Tamkang University also hosts the Maritime Museum.
There are four main campuses in Tamkang University: Tamsui campus, Taipei campus, Lanyang campus, and Cyber cumpus. Each campus has its specialized area.
In Tamsui campus, Tamkang university Chueh Sheng memorial library provides lots of benefits for students such as e-resources and more than 1 million bound volumes. It also has European info center which is the first EU's depositary in Taiwan.
