Tamara Lynn Witmer (born March 21, 1984) is an American model. She is best known for her appearance as Playboy's Playmate of the Month – Miss August 2005 – and was also the cover model for the October 2006 issue.

Tamara added to her Playboy résumé in November 2006 when she posed for a Playmate Xtra as part of the Playboy Cyber Club.

Witmer was born in Valencia, California and her family relocated to Dublin, Ohio, where she spent her childhood. She attended Dublin Coffman and Dublin Scioto High School. She moved to Los Angeles after graduating high school to begin her modeling career. Prior to becoming a Playmate, she has appeared on magazine covers (such as Fit Body and Physical) as well as inside the issues of Maxim and STUFF. Tamara has also appeared in advertising campaigns, calendars, lingerie and swimwear catalogs. She also appeared in Lingerie Bowl 2005 in February 2005 during half-time of Super Bowl XXXIX, as a lingerie-wearing tackle football player of the Los Angeles Temptation team.

In February 2006, Witmer was featured as one of the models on the American version of the game show Deal or No Deal.

In May 2007, the New York Daily News reported that she had been seen with actor Bruce Willis. [1]

She was a contestant on VH1's Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.[2] However, she was eliminated in the second episode.[citation needed]

Tamara has also appeared in Kid Rock's latest music video as well as the independent films Mikey & Dolores (starring Theresa Russell) and Roger Corman's Supergator (starring Kelly McGillis).
