If someone could get a better shot of this to replace the one I took, that'd be great. It turned out kinda blurry, but it'll do for now until a nicer one comes along. --Ebyabe 17:38, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge discussion

Comment — Is the proposal to merge Tampa Theatre and Tampa Theatre and Office Building to the latter name? I know that the longer name is the official name under which the building appears on the National Register of Historic Places, but it's really the theatre which is the big draw. The world is full of movie palace fans, but passionate lovers of old office buildings are much less common. The vast majority of searches will be simply for Tampa Theatre. I'd prefer to see the shorter article name preserved, and a redirect created for the longer name, though I'd bet it would be rarely used, if ever. If it's done the other way around, then expect the vast majority of searches to reach the article via the redirect page. Whyaduck 12:08, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

I agree. The main article should be Tampa Theatre and should include information about the office building. --Jlwelsh 18:59, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Is this theater also formally known as the Rialto Theater? There was a famous theater in Tampa back in the 1920's / 1930's called the Rialto Theater where vaudeville was also performed. This sounds like the theater. If so, this theater is referenced in the Dan White page here in Wikipedia (Dan White the actor - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_White_%28actor%29)
