Removed the reference to maracatu as the tamborim is never used in maracatu. Mona-Lynn 14:40, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I have never seen or heard tamborins in Maracatu, but I've read about it, so I added it, but I'm not really sure.

What is virado? I thought the turning of the tamborim while playing samba is called 'cajatera'; just curious. Thanks, Stuart
