==Welcome== Hello Talismanhound and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've chosen to join us. This is a great project with lots of dedicated people, which might seem intimidating at times, but don't let anything discourage you. Be bold!, explore, and contribute. Try to be civil by following simple guidelines and signing your talk comments with ~~~~ but never forget that one of our central tenets is to ignore all rules.
If you want to learn more, Wikipedia:Tutorial is the place to go, but eventually the following links might also come in handy:

Float around until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. Additionally, the Community Portal offers a more structured way to become acquainted with the many great committees and groups that focus on specific tasks. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English as well as the cleanup, welcoming, and counter-vandalism committees. Finally, the Wikimedia Foundation has several other wiki projects that you might enjoy. If you have any more questions, always feel free to ask me anything on my talk page. [edit] Art Adams images
Hello,
Are you really sure that images by Art Adams, such as Elasmasaur.jpg have really been released by him under the GFDL and the Creative Commons license? Are you perhaps Mr. Adams himself? I'm asking, because frankly, I'm a little skeptical that he would just release these images -- not that it's impossible, but it would be kind of unusual. (Furthermore, when it comes to images like AaclassicX1.jpg, I would imagine that the copyright holder is actually Marvel Comics, and I'm extremely skeptical that they would ever release any property of theirs like this.) Could you please explain this? -- Captain Disdain 15:15, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:AaclassicX1.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:AaclassicX1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:04, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
