The Tallahassee Amtrak station (also known as the Jacksonville, Pensacola and Mobile Railroad Company Freight Depot, the Chessie System Express and the Old Seaboard Coast Line Railroad) is a historic Jacksonville, Pensacola and Mobile Railroad depot in Tallahassee, Florida. It is located at 918 Railroad Avenue(918 1/2 according to Amtrak), and served by Amtrak's Sunset Limited line. The station was originally built in 1858, and is one of the oldest railroad buildings in Florida. A second story was added in 1885. On December 30, 1997, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
Passenger service at another station in Tallahassee was terminated in 1971 when Amtrak took over the nation's passenger rail service, but was revived in 1993. Service has been suspended since Hurricane Katrina.
