Tall Ships Youth Trust

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tall Ships Youth Trust is a sail training organisation in the United Kingdom which owns and operate two tall ships, the Prince William and the Stavros S Niarchos.

The Tall Ships Youth Trust, formerly the Sail Training Association, based in Portsmouth and Liverpool, is a charity registered with the Charity Commission. It was founded in 1956 and is dedicated to the personal development of young people aged 16 to 25 through the crewing of tall ships, and to the promotion of sail training around the world.

The Sail Training Association used to own TS KI Sir Winston Churchill and TS K2 Malcolm Miller. These two three-masted topsail schooners are now privately owned and in the Mediterranean.
