I too agree that this page is currently self-promotional in some ways. I will make a few changes. On the other hand, this page covers a valid subject: a musical band that has officially recorded an album with a publishing company. Fans exist, and if you delete this page (for real), at some point, another fan will create a new page in their ignorance of the precedent and thus lacking quality. The solution is to establish a valid style that can be later modified.

How presumptuous of Larry. They are the biggest local band in Ann Arbor (where I go to school). They are also known on some national level as they've won two John Lennon Songwriting Contests, and a music video will be featured on three upcoming episodes of The Real World Key West and a song will be featured in two upcoming episode of the OC [1]

. They are obviously an up-and-coming, relevant band. What's Larry's problem?

Some changes I will make shortly:

Removing most of the links to the videos. Those are easily linked to from the band's official site. I will change the subject in that section to how the music vid 'Banana Man' gained significant initial publicity for the band.

Edit to section stated this was taken from their website... and would be a copyvio. Regardless it is a bit too "fanboy". If someone wants to add expanded bios using their site as source material that is fine, but do an original write and try and retain a bit more encyclopedic tone.--Isotope23 19:55, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Saw the page move request. I originally thought "Tally Hall" referred to something quite different, but I found this researching: [2]. The building is an office/parking structure. [3] Info suggests the building has a mixed history and has been unused for various periods. While it is not mentioned by name in History of Ann Arbor, Michigan, from descriptions and maps, the lead picture may have been taken from the parking structure. There was also a Tally Hall Press in the same city. Both the publisher and the band likely got their names from the building. From what I can tell, neither the building nor the publisher are very notable, so the band should have the main article space. The building should definitely be mentioned in the band article if it is the source of the band name, and the publisher could be mentioned there too as another entity which took its name from the building. According to an email just sent out by thier email list, they have been signed by Atlantic Records. No mention of this has been made on the sight though, and the email said "more to come on this later" so it probably shouldn't be included in the article yet. But if anyone is still thinking this page should be considered for deletion, think again - these guys are gonna be big. According to the email, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum will be re-released this fall by Atlantic. Snowboardpunk 03:45, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

"Taking on an even larger role within the band's video portfolio will be the ten part series Tally Hall's Internet Show, scheduled to debut on April 22nd, 2008 with each episode being approximately ten minutes long. The content is said to include skits, music, and band-related shorts."

This date has passed. I have never heard about this and I'm not sure if this really exists. I will try to check it myself, if I can. Mynameisnotpj (talk) 11:26, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

I went to the official website and unfortunately, the new website design is not finished. When I googled ""Tally Hall's internet show", the only things that came up were blocked by my school. I will try tonight, when I get home. Mynameisnotpj (talk) 11:33, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
