[edit] Population

I see wildly different numbers for the population of Talavera de la Reina around the web, anywhere from about 70,000 to 95,000. Does anyone have something citable, like a census number with a date? - Jmabel | Talk 05:47, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

According to the last Census in 2006 its population is 86.826 inhabitants. You can know more things about Talavera in its official page. (Quiroga) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.218.150.210 (talk • contribs) 9 December 2006.

I see nothing about this on the official site, and searching for this number on that site (with Google) produces nothing. - Jmabel | Talk 06:19, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I'm from Talavera... the census isn't published in the Internet, but 2004 census reflects 80.305 people living in there. Anyway, Talavera is the largest city in Toledo and there is a huge population working from small cities as far as Extremadura, southern Madrid (not the city, the region) and northern Jaen, being de facto the economic capital, of a large "non-official- region, so the "real population" can be, easily on the 100.000 mark. I won't edit the article -poor English and lack of sources you can see-, but hope it helps. Enrique Cornejo.
