[edit] Trivia

  • This episode's title is taken from the Bible account, "Talitha Cumi", recorded at Mark ch.5, vs.22-24 & 35-43, in which Jesus Christ is sought out by a synagogue official named Jairus in order to help heal his ailing young daughter. Although the girl has already died, Jesus enters Jairus’ home, takes her hand and says the Semitic expression "Talitha cumi" (which can be translated as "Maiden, arise"), and the child is resurrected. X-Files writers Chris Carter & David Duchovny drew from this Gospel passage when writing the episode.
