Talib
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Talib (Arabic, طالب ṭālib, "student" pl. طلاب ṭullāb) is a religious student or follower, especially in Islam. Its meaning as a title has historically ranged from one who has reverence for learning or piety, to followers of a specific leader or sect, to school children, to the Afghani political - military force, the Taliban. It is also a common given name. In Arabic it simply means student, with no implied religious meaning.
