Taldangra (Bengali: তালডাঙড়া) is a town, community development bloc and assembly constituency in Bankura district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

In the 2001 census, Taldangra community development bloc had a total population of 128,748 of which 65,679 were males and 63,069 were females. Decadal growth for the period 1991-2001 was 15.39% for Taldangra, against 13.79% in Bankura district. Decadal growth in West Bengal was 17.84%.[2]
Taldangra Bloc had a total scheduled caste population of 33,639 and a scheduled tribe population of 18,279.[3]

Taldangra is an intermediate panchayat in Bankura district, with Amdanga, Bibarda, Fulmati, Harmasra, Khalgram, Panchmura, Saltora, Satmouli and Taldangra village panchayats under it.[4]

Manoranjan Patra of CPI(M) won the Taldangra assembly seat defeating Manik Mitra of AITC in 2006, Dilip Panda of AITC in 2001, Debaprasad Singha Barathakur od INC in 1996. Amiya Patra of CPI(M) defeated Phani Bhusan Singh Babu of INC in 1991 and Amit Chatterjee of INC in 1987. Mohini Mohan Panda of CPI(M) defeated Kalyani Prasad Singha Choudhury of INC in 1982 and Phani Bhusan Singhababu of INC in 1977.[5]
Taldangra is part of Vishnupur (Lok Sabha constituency).[6]
As per order of the Delimitation Commission in respect of the delimitation of constituencies in the West Bengal, assembly constituency no. 251 Taldangra will cover Bibarda, Fulmati, Harmasra, Khalgram, Panchmura and Taldangra gram panchayats of Taldangra community development bloc, Brojarajpur and Gaurbazar gram panchayats of Indpur community development blocks and Simlapal community development bloc. It will form part of parliamentary constituency no. 36 Bankura.[7]

Panchmura is famous for the terracotta Bankura Horse, a folk artefact and now the national symbol for Indian handicrafts.[8]
