Talat Sao is a morning market in Vientiane, Laos.

Located at the eastern corner of Lan Xang Rd. and Khu Vieng Rd. in the heart of Vientiane, the morning market opens 7:00 in the morning and stays open till around 4:00pm daily. The market is two-story and covered by several sloping roofs. The market consists of many small shops, restaurants and fruit and vegetable vendors. There are shops for purchasing jewelry, silk and clothing (modern and traditional), wooden crafts, musical instruments, electronics, appliances, housewares, CDs and DVDs/VCDs and grocery items. The front side of the market has space for car/truck parking and motorcycles can be parked nearby. There are numerous fruit vendors where mangos, pineapple, jackfruit and other fruits can be purchased. Restrooms are not far from this entrance and can be used for a very small fee. Depending on the time of day and the weather conditions the market can feel almost empty or full beyond capacity. Being a popular tourist destination, you may see people from all over the world shopping here.
