Talap is a town on NH17 between Kannur and Payyanur, in Kerala in southern India. Large areas of land near the town are under sugarcane cultivation. 2 of the prominent hospitals are AKG and Koyli. Kumaran Memorial Hospital established with funds from USA was discontinued and the buildings sold recently. The largest temple in Talap is the Sri Sundareswara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
