Tal-Barrani

Tal-Barrani, is an estate between Żejtun and Tarxien (Malta). This name explain an estate in the outskirts of a town or city, but also can be a reference to a foreign person, someone who don't live in that area. In a document of XVI century this an area near this estate was known as Andar tal-Misilmin (land of the Muslim), that remind us the occupation of Malta by the Arabs. In the area of the south-east of Malta there was more Muslims then the rest of the island in the Middle Ages eras.

In the beginning of the 90s in this area found a temple under the main road that pass from the outskirts of Zejtun, Tarxien, Santa Luċija, Għaxaq and Bir id-Deheb.
