[edit] License tagging for Image:TLOZ Phantom Hourglass Link.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:TLOZ Phantom Hourglass Link.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:14, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:TLOZ Phantom Hourglass Link.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:TLOZ Phantom Hourglass Link.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 22:03, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:LordSlug.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:LordSlug.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 19:20, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:TLOZ Phantom Hourglass Link.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:TLOZ Phantom Hourglass Link.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. [edit] WikiProject Anime and manga/Dragon Ball Argument
This guy by the name of A Link to the Past is trying to change the Artificial Human articles to Android. I'm strongly against this, and he isn't going to quit. So can you give me a helping hand. Please and thank you. Ryu-chan
[edit] Your Google hits
To be exact, this is how you should do it:
"Artificial Human" + "Dragon Ball" = 2,540 "Android" + "Dragon Ball" = 273,000
A significant difference, and one that shows which is more common. Combined with the fact that Android 18 is the official name in the anime and manga in both the UK, North America, South Africa, and Australia and is the only named used on official merchandise, Android 18 is clearly the most well-known name. - A Link to the Past (talk) 23:50, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moving pages
Please stop moving pages based on your misunderstanding of the Japanese language. Things like Sūpā (super) and Rando (land) are simply the transliterations of how the Japanese write foreign words. The English words are intended. ' 22:27, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'm well aware of that, but the fact still stands that they're the official titles for the games. Takuthehedgehog 02:33, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- "Official titles" would be the Japanese characters themselves. This is a transliteration issue. ' 03:56, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Saying "Well these people have articles" only gives fuel for the deletionists to attack you.
Those against the article will cite WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS to discredit posts like yours regarding youtube producers and will ignore any of your other valid statements, so please avoid this. His appearence on the Opie and Anthony show, among other things, are better examples to cite. Please remove or strike out the Chris Crocker statement, and cite more concrete examples and references. Opposers have been prone to ignore the facts that truly establish notability and verifiability, and only attack those with weak arguments.
In previous article for deletion attempts, some delete votes have been accompanied with misinformation and flatout lies. Please stay on top of this. They may attempt to discredit all of our facts, so defend, defend, defend, and if they lie, make sure you can disprove it. The most common lie that will be told is, "No new developments," to which they are referring to July 2006, when the AVGN character had 20,000 views on the TMNT episode and only had around 4 episodes released. This also implies that the AVGN character is not a partner on a top 1,000,000 site, which is also false (GameTrailers top 400, ScrewAttack top 15,000).
Please do not use numbers as reasoning for "keep" votes. Only combat those that try to cite such low amounts. His views total exceeds 40 Million (28 on YT, 13 on GT). In July 2006, which opposers will constantly cite, he had not even reached 50,000. It's funny that pageranks and video views are not accepted in keep votes, but were accepted in delete votes.
Be wary. No truly established veteran has ever had the time to come to our defense, because admins have pushed the AfD discussion through as quickly as possible, sometimes only allowing SIX HOURS for discussion before the AVGN article is immediately erased. Six hours is plenty of time to get four or more administrators or veterans together to denounce the article (it was done twice before, if not three times or more).
I have saved the article here at User:SashaNein/AVGN.
Good luck. Even with all of this proof regarding Opie and Anthony, the exponentially larger popularity, and apperances on other networks, this article will probably be deleted. The time for discussion on this one will probably be VERY short due to the increasing popularity. Don't give up, and don't let opposers lie their way to another deletion. Thank you for uploading Image:Donkey Kong Land 2 Coverart.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 18:25, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Android 17.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Android 17.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:FoxMcCloud.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:FoxMcCloud.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:03, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] StarFox vs. Star Fox
Based on the various game covers and title screens, this series would seem to be "StarFox" rather than "Star Fox." So my question is... why are you opting to switch it to "Star Fox"? It seems the title seen in the primary sources would take precedent. --Bishop2 (talk) 18:47, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- In the game they spell it Star Fox. Logos are styalized, and aren't always the way the title is spelled. The box is also in all capital letters, but we don't spell it STARFOX. Takuthehedgehog (talk) 18:39, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Clarification on something
I was wondering if you could confirm if Majin Boo was indeed used in the Japanese-audio English-subtitled anime DVDs by Funimation. I'm asking you because you were bold enough to get the Yamcha move done per WP:WPDB. Please reply below, Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 03:58, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- The subtitles for the Japanese Audio do indeed use Majin Boo. Takuthehedgehog (talk) 01:20, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, I knew it was so. Could you get the page move done using the same reasons as the Yamcha move? Think this is the last page that needs the name change. I'll immediately get the redirects and names fixed if you do this ;) Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 01:31, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- Majin Boo has more then one edit in its page history, which prevents me from moving Majin Buu to Majin Boo. You'll have to get an admin to do it. Takuthehedgehog (talk) 01:41, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- Which sysop should I ask from WP:WPDB: User:Caribbean H.Q. or User:Sephiroth BCR? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 01:48, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, I've never had to ask an admin to move a page before. Takuthehedgehog (talk) 01:53, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- Guess I'll try Sephiroth later on. He seems to be less busy. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 02:06, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- The page was moved ;) I'll be getting to the redirects and all so any help would be appreciated. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 04:25, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- And what was the name Steve "Daimao" Simmons gave for Uub? Was it Oob, like in the Viz manga? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 18:48, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- I have no idea about Uub, I don't have any of the DVDs he appears in. I'd assume its spelled "Oob" since it's supposed to be "Boo" backwards, but I can't confirm it. Try asking about it on the daizex.com forums, I'm sure somebody there will know the answer. Make sure to read the rules before posting though. Takuthehedgehog (talk) 01:00, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Warning System
Hey, you seem to be the headmaster on all this Majin Boo stuff, so what warning should we give to people who change the names on the page[1]? I know if it's done intentionally it would be considered vandalism, but what do we do to people that are just changing it to Buu in good faith?--KojiDude (Contributions) 19:31, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- Just point them over to the Dragon Ball Work Group I guess. I don't actually edit the Dragon Ball related articles that often, dunno why everyone is coming to me for advice on them. Takuthehedgehog (talk) 23:48, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Andross.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Andross.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
-
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

[edit] Credible Sources
Hello there. Just wondering why you removed the link http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-previews/184.html from Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, and stated it wasn't credible? I'm not aware of the websites credibility as a whole, but the article seemed ok. Thanks! Fin©™ 19:28, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Their list of characters that are in the game include several characters that haven't been said to be in the game anywhere else. The article is also dated March 29th, and I'd think if said characters were in the game, we'd have seen them by now. Takuthehedgehog (talk) 06:25, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
