[edit] AfD nomination of Anti-Dingus
I have nominated Anti-Dingus, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anti-Dingus. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. ... discospinster talk 02:29, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not sure which bands you are referring to that don't meet any of the WP:MUSIC guidelines yet have articles on Wikipedia. In order for the article to be saved from deletion, it has to demonstrate (via a reliable source) that the band meets any one of the criteria outlined here. It doesn't have to meet all of them, just one. ... discospinster talk 02:43, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- All I can tell you is that it's very likely the article will be deleted unless it can show that the band are notable by those criteria. There have been discussions on the validity of the criteria themselves in the talk page, where you can express your concerns. Besides, wouldn't the lack of an article in Wikipedia be in harmony with their intentions "against big things"? All joking aside, though, you do have an opportunity to contribute to the deletion discussion if you so choose. ... discospinster talk 03:00, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Anti-Dingus
A tag has been placed on Anti-Dingus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 07:55, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
