I have just added a pronunciation of his name (a topic of considerable discussion on the internet, mainly due to the ambiguity provided by different DVD releases). It is correct AFAIK, but I would appreciate somebody who actually speaks Japanese to clarify (particularly the weighting). Also anyone who knows about v-cinema, my knowledge is limited so I have left it as a stub until I have read some more. Pseudosocrates 17:23, Nov 23, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] First name

Shouldn't his last name be Takashi on second reference?

No, since his last name is Miike. - Bobet 11:32, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

In his language, his last name is Takashi.

I may be confusing your intent here but what are you basing that on? It's not really false since Takashi is written last when you write out his name in Japanese, but Miike is still the family name (or last name in the western sense) and that's what we should be going by. Calling someone 'Bill' or 'George' throughout an article wouldn't sound right, and in the same vein, calling this person 'Takashi' throughout the article isn't very encyclopedic. Hi, I changed the release date of Zatoichi. It was released in 2003 not 2007, but I messed up some columns. If someone could adjust that, it would be cool. Range (talk) 14:47, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
