Talk:Takahashi Genichiro

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The text says that Takahashi suffered from aphasia, but I do not think that can be accurate. We get the impression that he may have suffered physical abuse in prison resulting in brain damage, but according to the following interview with him http://www.centerforbookculture.org/review/02_2_inter/interview_takahashi.html , it was more like an existential suffering, described as being lost between propaganda and poetic language. "Aphasia" therefore seems to be a misuse of the diagnosis in this case - but then postmodern authors are known for their tendency to misuse precise terminology... I have changed it to "at a loss linguistically" for so long.

Also, in the Japanese page about Takahashi, there is no link to the English page - can somebody competent create the link? Grape1, June 11th, 2007
