Takir - Kazakh rock-opera-ballet performed firstly in Almaty under the aegis of ballet festival Tradition Prize on May 30, 2000. Called after Turkic word Takir.
The aim of Takir opera is to attract the world's attention to the problems of the shrinking Aral sea.
Initial idea and libretto - Naser Kulsariyev, music - Naser Kulsariyev and Erulan Kanapyanov.
