Take Me Home is the fifteenth album by American singer Cher, released in 1979 and was the first of three records Cher recorded for Casablanca Records. This marked the beginning of Cher's brief venture into disco music. The last song on the album - My Song (Too Far Gone) - however, is a ballad, about Cher's failed marriage with Gregg Allman.
The album brought Cher back to the charts, and sold over 1,000,000 copies reaching #25 on Billboard 200, and being certified Platinum in May 1979, the album sold around 6 million worldwide. It also spawned the minor Country Chart hit with 'Its Too Late (To Love Me Now)' which peaked at #87. The Title Track was also certified Gold by the RIAA that same year. The album itself has been released on CD in a double package with Cher's sixteenth album, Prisoner.
