Taking Father Home (simplified Chinese: 背鸭子的男孩) is an award winning independent Chinese film. It's the first feature from a Chinese director Ying Liang.

In Sichuan Province, China, a 17-year old country boy Xu Yun goes to a city to find his father, who left home six years ago and has not been heard since. Going through all kinds of difficulties, the boy finally takes his father home in his own way.
Director Ying Liang states: “I think the story is about growing up, seeking, missing, faith, development, calamity, and revival.”
