Takashima (高島町 Takashima-chō?) was a town located in former Takashima District, Shiga, Japan.

In 2003, the town had an estimated population of 7,121 and a density of 112.67 persons per square kilometre. The total area was 63.20 square kilometres.

The town was dissolved upon the formation of a new city on Jan. 1, 2005 called Takashima with the merging of Adogawa, Imazu, Kutsuki (village), Makino, Shin'asahi, and Takashima towns.
