[edit] Your edits to articles Pope Benedict XVI and Pope John Paul II

Tajm, I reverted your edits to the two above-named articles. (Sorry. Not a nice way to welcome you, I know!) Concerning dates, when they're wiki-linked (i.e. when they have two sets of square brackets arount them) they will appear to the viewer in the way that he or she has "my preferences" set. (You can click on that at the top of any page, between "my talk" and "my watchlist".) If you go to "My preferences", and then click on "Date and time", you will see that you have the choice of having dates appear as 14 January or as January 14, provided that they're wiki-linked. For that reason, we don't change them, once they're inside those square brackets, because it won't change what people see.

Regarding your addition of "His Holiness", there was a lot of dispute about that nearly two years ago, with a lot of edit warring — someone putting it in, someone taking it out, someone putting it in again, etc. I was, and still am, in favour of using "His Holiness", and if there were a vote, I would vote that way. However, it was eventually decided not to use it, and I respect that. Cheers. Musical Linguist 22:36, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Red links are nothing bad

Thanks for your edits on Michael Michai Kitbunchu. However you have linked his three consecrators to the articles on the respective dioceses they were leading at that time. Red links within an article are nothing bad, and those bishops will one day have an article - I have done some Thai bishops myself already, but for the older ones I could not find enough to create a decent article yet. So when one of them gets his article, then all the exisiting links will become blue directly; but if those links were avoided by linking to a different one has to search for potential articles to fix or add a link. andy 12:48, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] welcome

Glad that you're jumping right in. Just fyi, though, if you see a double redirect (as you did at Egidio Vagnozzi), the proper procedure is to make it redirect to the right page instead of blanking. Let me know if you have any questions and happy editing. Savidan 16:34, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Giuseppe Card. Siri.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Giuseppe Card. Siri.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Your edits to Cardinal William Henry Keeler

Tajm, you recently made several edits to Cardinal Keeler's page, and while I have not begun to review them all, I see that you have reverted my previous edits of his name. Just so you know, many Cardinals no longer use the title of Cardinal in the middle of their name, but rather, use it as a prefix. I work for Cardinal Keeler and I can assure you, he prefers the title "Cardinal William H. Keeler" to "William H. Cardinal Keeler." —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Basilica1 (talkcontribs) 20:05, 9 April 2007 (UTC). Superscript text

[edit] WHK

Sorry, but both are actually acceptable, despite what your great-uncle may tell you. And since both are proper, it seems to me that one's personal preference could and should be used in an article about them.

[edit] Regarding edits to John Cardinal D'Alton

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Tajm! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bmembers\.aol\.com\/.+, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 00:42, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

I noticed your article on Cardinal Tosi started its lead paragraph with "Maurilio Cardinal Fossati". I'm assuming that you used the Fossati article as a template so I corrected it to read "Eugenio Cardinal Tosi". If I'm wrong let me know.Vgranucci 03:35, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:PopeB15.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:PopeB15.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Abu badali (talk) 00:09, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blast it!

Why did you revert my image-replacements on all the Papall conclave pages? That noxcious JPG is some fairuse image that has been replaced by a free SVG! 68.39.174.238 21:17, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:CardinalCushing.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:CardinalCushing.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:15, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hermann Volk

Hi Tajm. You are off to such a great start on the article Hermann Volk that it may qualify to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page under the Did you know... section. The Main Page gets about 4,000,000 hits per day and appearing on the Main Page may help bring publicity and assistance to the article. However, there is a five day from article creation window for Did you know... nominations. Before five days pass from the date the article was created and if you haven't already done so, please consider nominating the article to appear on the Main Page by posting a nomination at Did you know suggestions. If you do nominate the article for DYK, please cross out the article name on the "Good" articles proposed by bot list. Also, don't forget to keep checking back at Did you know suggestions for comments regarding your nomination. Again, great job on the article. -- Jreferee (Talk) 21:10, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:Cardinalwalterkasper.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Cardinalwalterkasper.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:29, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Roman Catholic Bishops

As a member of WikiProject Catholicism I wanted to inform you that some members of Wikipedia believe that most Roman Catholic Bishops do not merit an article on Wikipedia. Since I am unaware of a position on Wikipedia on this matter I decided to bring this to your attention. The three articles on bishops are up for AfD, they are: : John Joseph Nevins , René Henry Gracida , and Felipe de Jesus Estevez Callelinea 21:07, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:AbpBuech.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:AbpBuech.jpg.
