I have moved this out of the "User:" namespace and into "Template:". Is this sidebar really necessary? Most of the information is already in the text. Note there is already Template:Taiwanese aborigines. The information in this sidebar is redundant and outdated (regarding Sakizaya). Also, "Gaoshan–Pingpu" and "Mountains–Plains" are horrible renditions into English. The best rendition I have is "Highland–Lowland" (with analogy to Scotland). – Kaihsu 17:47, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

• Replied on Talk:Taiwanese aborigines, as well. Updating the info re the recent government recognition of the Sakizaya is a trivial matter that requires less than 10 seconds to update. Ditto for your dislike of the translation of Gaoshan etc. (though, um, Gao means high and uh, Shan means mountain.. so your rendition may convey a more accurate flavor, but "horrible" is clearly an overstatement of the case... but still, if you don't like "mountain", I can certainly accept your version as an improvement).
• Wait, check that. There is no translations of Gaoshan and Pingpu on the sidebar! It does say that some homelands are on "plains" and some are in "mountains," but this is inarguably true. Info is irrelevant to sidebar.
• The template you mentioned is a footer! Its existence is irrelevant.
