I've tagged this for cleanup. Taiyuan is a pretty large city, and the information here does no justice to it. The points are fairly important but need to be expanded upon. Benji 00:19, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Taiyuan is rich in mineral resources, most notedly coal deposits. When the Japanese invaded Taiyuan, they enslaved the men and women and made them mine for coal and other mineral resources in horrible conditions.
