Taimei, Kumamoto

Taimei (岱明町, Taimei-machi^?) was a town located in Tamana District, Kumamoto, Japan. On October 3, 2005 the town merged with two other towns into the expanded city of Tamana and no longer exists as an independent municipality.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 14,329 and the density of 628.19 persons per km². The total area was 22.81 km².
