From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tai Anderson is the bass player for the Christian rock band Third Day. He was born Samuel Tai Anderson on June 11, 1976.

Anderson played the ukelele at his school band when he was about 9 years old. He started playing bass at a friend's suggestion.

At 16, he met David Carr. They both attended the same church and played together at Wednesday night meetings. Soon after, they began playing at various churches around northern Georgia with their youth pastor. They met Third Day on a trip to a small church in Powder Springs, Georgia, which at the time consisted of Mac Powell and Mark Lee playing acoustic guitars. Anderson and Carr's youth pastor invited Third Day to play at his youth group. Soon after Anderson joined the band to fill their vacant bass position.

Anderson currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and five children - three boys and two girls.
