Rated this as 'start' but could maybe have been higher, it's one of the better village articles out there. Just seems a bit dishevelled in places.--Keefer4 20:35, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pronunciation

When I was around the loggers' sports shows back in the '60s (my folks ran Mission's) there were a number of competitors from palces like Tahsis and Woss Lake and such; I remember them always pronouncing it "Tarshish" or "Tarsheesh", and they weren't Maritimers (if you get the allusion). Anyone reading this have any experiences or know about this?Skookum1 (talk) 04:18, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
