Tahunanui School is a co-educational primary school located in the suburb of Tahunanui, Nelson, New Zealand. The area that the school occupies is flat, even though the port hills are located immediately east of the school. The school has large playing fields, along with two playgrounds, large concreted play areas and a swimming pool. The school is located only five minutes walk from Tahunanui Beach which allows for safe swimming and play areas. This area is therefore used for sporting and recreational activities for the school's students.
