Tahmina

Tahmineh (Persian: تهمينه) is one of female characters of the epic of Shahnameh. She was the King of Samangan's daughter who married Rostam. She was Sohrab's mother.

In Shahnameh, it says that one day Rostam looses his horse, Rakhsh, and following Rakhsh tracks, reaches to Samangan, King of Samangan invites Rostam to stay for night, he accepts, mid night Tahmineh reaches Rostam and says that she's in love with him. According to Shahnameh, Rostam marries Tahmineh that night and Rostam leaves the other day, and gives Tahmineh his "bazooband" , a sign to be wrapped on the arm.

Finally in a battle between Rostam and Sohrab, when Rostam kills Sohrab, he finds out that the opponent is his son by this sign.
