Tahir Bilgiç
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tahir Bilgiç is an Australian comedian of Turkish descent. Tahir labels himself as Australia's only Turkish stand-up comedian.[1]. Tahir features as the Lebanese character Habib in the Pizza (TV series) and movie. Habib enacts the ethnic stereotype of drug-dealing, obnoxious, womanising migrant. The stereotypes of the Fat Pizza characters are ballooned to ridicule the stereotype itself.
Bilgiç has appeared in Rove Live, The NRL Footy Show, Laughing Stock, Recovery, FOXTEL, Comedy Channel, the SBS documentary series - Aussie Jokers and the Australian improvisational comedy series, Thank God You're Here.[2]
