What is taggzilla?
It is a new community and collaboration based site for business people.
The community members consist of: entrepreneurs, business owners, regular business people, marketing people, and professionals. These professionals include a wide array of industries some of which are: dentists, doctors, lawyers, nurses, psychologists/psychiatrists, direct marketers, TV advertisers, radio advertisers, modeling agents, sports agents, musicians, actors looking to break in to the business, health care professionals, civil servants including firemen and policemen, and of course others.
What can you do on taggzilla?
The site was designed to allow better and more real communication between community members then was currently available on its bigger sites such as myspace.com, Facebook.com, Bebo.com, badoo.com, friendster.com, Hi5.com, ning.com, xing.com, yahoo360.com, orkut.com, tagged.com, linkedin.com.
It was also meant to be a meeting place strictly for business people and people who wanted to get their topical information and advice out to others that were part of a community that had stated they were interested in that topic and information. For example a community of policemen who want to have a form and group where they can talk about current challenges facing policemen, the different experiences and stories they've had that fellow policeman can learn from to be safer in their jobs, different safety procedures to cut down on police violence and injury.
The site includes many means to allow this better connectivity and communication between its members in the form of forums, groups, and intrasite e-mail. Members can send and receive private messages one-on-one through there and box like most other social sites have. These are common features that pretty much any major social site has.
What taggzilla does to go beyond the common features of sites like my space.com, Facebook.com (which now has text chat) and Orkut.com is it also includes a group chat feature on the site(like the functionality they would get an instant messaging client like Skype AOL Instant Messenger, or Windows messenger, Yahoo messenger, or Gtalk messenger service, MSN messenger) that has one big sitewide room where all currently logged on members and chat together similar to dating sites like match.com, EHarmony.com, or chemistry.com.
Recognizing that sometimes these large chat rooms can have thousands or tens of thousands of members at one time and become unwieldy there are also the ability to have smaller group private chats. A member can invite another member one-on-one or a small group of say 10 to 20.
It also has the ability for members to post their valuable content and links to other relevant content that is on topic and other members of the community and their individual groups would be glad to find out about and interested in. So for the member that is promoting the content it gives them a lot of exposure and social status within their community opening of doors for interview opportunities, partnership opportunities, and the ability to work with others in their industry and interested in their topic or hobby in a collaborative format.
These people might not otherwise have ever been found by the member. So it allows for tremendous networking opportunities that are within a certain topic area instead of just generalized going out into the world and looking for someone to network with.
The main goal is to help business people and professionals increase website traffic. Web site traffic and visitors coming to your site are key to having a successful web presence. When your site is a ghost town it fails.
Having means to acquire free, cheap and Return on INvestment cost-effective web traffic is critical to ongoing success.
So what's the story behind TaggZilla?
TaggZilla got its start when winning three original main principles met on line through a forum at what seem like a random event at the time. For some reason the stars aligned and these three business partners decided to come together on a project to make the meeting, networking, partnering, and teaming up for business purposes easier and more efficient... to eliminate the randomness of how they met. Because they each recognized how important in fortunate it was that they had met.
There were a couple of other members or also at the initial meeting that decided they wanted to work on other projects and not TaggZilla. So the table was initially set to get this new concept and improve upon the current functionality of the very few business specific networking sites that were already out there in the market.
The three starting principles had no idea the magnitude of the project when they first began. Had they known how large of a magnitude this would have and how long it would take to be able to be a light site probably none of the three would have even began the project.
What started in August of 2007 as now become a live project with these better connectivity goals realize as well as continuing to improve them. It is rumored that a news feed, a friend suggester, and interested topics article suggestion and a wiki for documents is also on the way and in development.
There is much excitement and buzz when this started and it had climbed to over 700 members just in its beta form which use the Joomla database platform to manage the site and the member interaction. Unfortunately Joomla proved to be woefully inadequate for the kind of connectivity and efficiency the business users and members of the site desired.
As with any project there have been coding delay its, changes in coders as some fell away and were found in inadequate, and other adjustments to the site based on user and community member feedback that has come in over the last eight months. The beta test period is almost complete and the site will be ready to launch in its 1.0 version imminently.
What is TaggZilla's overall goal?
The biggest concern business people struggle with today is being too busy and having zero time and getting zero traffic to their website.
Having startup capital and financial funds to grow and market a business is also a big hassle. But with any great and even many good ideas there is finding out there that can be had for the right price.
There is never any more time each business person has only 24 hours in their day same as every other person on the planet Earth. So taggzilla strives to automate kick start certain business business essential processes and and partnerships.
This is where the auto suggestion of other community members that might make good business partners, joint venture arrangements, networking possibilities, and mastermind meet ups online, would come into play and have them automatically for the member.
All the member would have to do then is go in and look at these suggestions that were made for them and approve those it makes sense, and contact those they've approved to start up the relationship, networking or whatever is appropriate based on the goal that taggzilla member had.
So the overriding goal is to listen to the members feedback, respond to that feedback, and give the taggzilla community business members and time saving and affordable solutions they need and want to grow their business, prosper, and achieve their ultimate business end.
Whether that be to take their company public in an initial public offering of stock on one of the big stock market exchanges like New York Stock Exchange or the NASDAQ, or to get venture capital lending, or to get private funding or lending, to acquire a bank loan, or simply to sell their business out right in a private sale, or to just have a growing and thriving business that produces them a monthly income stream where at some point they will have it set up so that they can walk away from their business and it still grows and produces monthly cash flow for them long after they have left active involvement in their business.
