I'm sorry that I do not know which writer or which article/book coined the idea of comparing Taguchi to Adam Smith. But as weasely as it may be to say "sometimes referred to..." or "some scholars...", it doesn't make it any less true. Some scholars do say this. He is in fact sometimes compared to Adam Smith. I just can't provide the one canonical original reference. LordAmeth 22:14, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
