This is more a piece of advertisement than anything else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.76.197.9 (talk • contribs) 8 January 2007

I agree. I have placed in the {{advert}}-tag. --ZeroOne (talk | @) 22:33, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
I disagree. I have written this article almost from the ground up, 99% of the modifications and additions to it are mine - and I can tell you that there is no advertising in this. I am in no-way affiliated with TAGES SA, as you could also check my IP ranges - they're all Israeli, whereas TAGES SA is a French company. I just like to state facts professionally. You could see that no information was concealed, and I have mentioned some problems with the protection. Do you have any knowledge on this protection system to confirm or refute anything I wrote? //Anonymous author.

Not only is this article written like an advertisement, it's highly slanted (I suspect the TAGES company may have had a hand).

The TAGES System can be fairly easily circumvented either by using a fixed .EXE file, or a CD Drive emulation system. Also, it is fairly well documented.

http://www.cdfreaks.com/news/TAGES-launches-new-commercial-site-including-funny-quotes.html makes fo an interesting read, as it shows the TAGES company has a history of misrepresenting their products, and cherry-picking claims for use in advertiments.

I wrote this article almost entirely. I have no connections to TAGES SA whatsoever, also check my IP, it is Israeli - while TAGES SA is a French company. I just find the software security industry interesting, that is it. Advertisement? please prove so before bringing up baseless speculations.

Advertisement or not it is really, really slanted. Can anything be done to clear out the bias in favor of TAGES? - mixvio 20:21, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
Again, I am not associated in any way to TAGES - I wrote this aritcle due to sheer interest in copy protection systems, and yes - I respect copyrights; the inner workings of copy protection system is not information for the general public to see; and is protected under copyright laws. Such information can obtained only from the reverse engineering of protected prodcuts, which is against their EULA.
If the article is slanted, it's slanted, no matter who you are. And for the record, while we can see your IP hails from Israel, the domain name is proxy.012.net.il, it's listed here as a proxy, and it has port 8080 open, so we'll take your lengthy protestations about the nature of your IP address with a pinch of salt. --82.45.163.18 14:16, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
It is your choice whether to believe me or not. Try this current IP instead. You just can not stand opinions which are in favour of your feared DRM. Right? and I did not even express any opinion here. What about my mentioning of a working emulator and a bug within a device driver? slanted? When I edited the StarForce article to remove bias, people cried foul. Same thing here. Perhaps wikipedia really is an experiment in anarchy. BTW, Ruud, why don't you participate in this debate, adding dispute marks to pages is something you're good at, but as to explaining your behaviour, are you not?
This is really offending. I will make no further contributions with Wikipedia. Is this how you treat knowledge? Goodbye. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.155.54.130 (talk) 14:02, August 22, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] NPOV

I have edited the article and believe it has now reached NPOV. Nikos 21:40, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

There might be a few more things to edit such as the company quotes to make it more neutral. Quotes and be references instead in the form of links JasonHockeyGuy (talk) 22:07, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] tages has been already broken a long time ago

On Bittorrent theres a cracked version of Arthur and the Minimoys which uses Tages and VFS.

So Tages has already been broken by hacker groups.

Can anyone put that in wikipedia, cause tages had been broken.

another flawed copy protection scheme. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.148.148.124 (talk) 01:44, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

wikipedia is not a platform for illegal activity discussions, btw - TAGES+VFS is not an absolute entity, it all depends on the level of implemenetation of a given case by the software developer, don't open your mouth and talk on subjects you have no idea about. The same protection system can vary in stregth. Plus, why do you even care for it being broken? only one reason comes to mind - a DRM hater.
You might want to tell the people at Crime that they shouldn't have written that article. Btw, why do you care why others care about stuff being broken? Some people don't mind DRM; the only people who like it are those whose paychecks depend on it. But I wonder what it's like to be such a person, who gets paid as a professional to write this software, and is then defeated by people who get paid nothing to do it in their own free time. Personally, if I were in such a position, I'd make angry posts on Wikipedia to lash out, shortly before killing myself of embarrassment over my own incompetence as a programmer. [edit] I tried editing it to make it sound more like an article and not an ad

But I was not successful so I put the spam tag on it, had no choice but to do so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JasonHockeyGuy (talkcontribs) 18:11, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
