Tafunsak
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tafunsak is the largest village on the island of Kosrae, in the Federated States of Micronesia, exhibiting one of the world's most tropical jungles. This village was known as "Tahfuhnsahk" at first but now, as you can see, it has a different spelling. The word "Tafunsak" means half forest and half beach, which is true. And that's what this village is known for. A typical diet in the village usually consists of coconut, fish, lime, and rice. Its population was 2,128 at the 2000 census.[1]
Tafunsak is the closest village, by road, to the Kosrae Airport.
