Tadashi Yamashita

Tadashi Yamashita (born 1942 in Japan) is an American martial arts instructor and actor. He was born in mainland Japan but raised in Okinawa, where he earned a black belt at the age of 16. At 24 he moved to the United States where he eventually gained citizenship.[1]
He has appeared in such films as The Octagon, American Ninja, Enter the Dragon, Gymkata, and Lethal Weapon 4, and on television shows including Kung Fu and Knight Rider.[2]
He holds the ranks of 9th Dan in Kobayashi Shorin-Ryu Karatedo and also in Zen Okinawan kobudō, and the title of Hanshi.
