Tactical Law Enforcement Badge

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tactical Law Enforcement Badge is a military badge of the United States Coast Guard which is presented to those service members who perform duty with a Tactical Law Enforcement unit (TACLET) for a period exceeding eighteen months. The badge is initially presented as a "temporary" badge to a TACLET member upon their attainment of the required qualification level for their rank, and after six months have passed from their date of reporting for service at the unit. The badge is considered "permanent" at the eighteen month mark.

TACLET members primarily perform drug interdiction, anti-smuggling, immigration enforcement, and serve in the Northern Persian Gulf.
