Tachyzoite

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tachyzoite is an asexual stage of rapid growth in a number of microorganisms, with many being directly responsible for parasitic diseases. Tachyzoites are motile forms of coccidians that form tissue cysts, such as toxoplasmosis and sarcocystis. Tachyzoites divide by endodyogeny, and are typically formed in vacuoles within cells.
