Talk:Table of consonants
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I moved this table from consonant because there are a lot of users that for one reason or another aren't able to view the Unicode International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) symbols, and that was making that page look broken, when it was really just this table which was broken. I hope someone will make an equivalent of this table using X-SAMPA or using the images Fabiform made of the IPA symbols on X-SAMPA. Nohat 20:58, 2004 Apr 13 (UTC)
[edit] class=wikitable
This may look much more pleasing with the wikitable class. Can I or someone add that? Hangfromthefloor 17:02, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] delete?
I guess this might be a convenient place for editors to copy letters to paste elsewhere, but it's not all IPA consonants, and includes some non-IPA consonants. There's no context. What's the point? kwami (talk) 19:46, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] OR
Since this table mixes phonemic and non-phonemic consonants, includes consonants which do not appear in any language, and omits hundreds of consonants which do occur, but gives the misleading impression that the included consonants are equivalent, I'm tagging it for OR. kwami (talk) 21:08, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
