Table of Contents Editor

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Table Of Contents Editor (TOCED) is a programmer and system administrator utility for Unisys mainframe computers of the former UNIVAC 1100/2200 series. TOCED was developed during the late 1970s by Michael E. Darnell, who modeled the program interface and commands on the Univac Text Editor developed by Dr. Roger M. Firestone.

The TOCED processor is used to conversationally edit the table of contents of an OS2200 program file. It allows all or portions of the table of contents to be edited, program elements to be deleted, and any elements deleted after the last @PACK of the file to be recovered.

TOCED will also allow read-only access to the OS2200 Master File Directory (MFD) and the system print queues. It also allows access to the TIP file directories.
