A table mountain is a flat-topped mountain. The term may be used to refer to a type of subglacial volcano properly called a tuya, which forms a mountain with very steep sides and a flat summit. Mesa (Spanish for "table") is a generic word in English used in the western United States to describe a flat-topped mountain or hill. Table Mountain is a name given to many mountains around the world:

• Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa, is perhaps the most famous example.
  • This is the mountain referred to in the name of the Declaration of Table Mountain, a statement on press freedom in Africa.
• Crug Hywel, in the Black Mountains in Wales, is commonly known as "Table Mountain" in English.
• Table Mountain, County Wicklow is one of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland.
• Table Mountain (Washington) is a minor peak with a sheer cliff face on the Columbia River Gorge in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
