Tabanovce

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tabanovce (Macedonian Cyrillic: Табановце) is a village located in the far north of the Republic of Macedonia, close to Kumanovo. Its proximity to the border with Serbia gives the local crossing this village name.

The unusual ending "-ce" as opposed to "-ci" (eg. Kavadarci) reflects the local speech of the villagers which is a form of Torlakian, similar to what is spoken in Kumanovo, and by the Serb population of Preševo.
