Trackside launched in 1992. It broadcasts every race the TAB takes betting on from New Zealand, Australia and key races from Hong Kong and international venues. The channel is free to air on UHF where it provides limited coverage while full coverage is on SKY digital, channel 35 and TelstraClear InHomeTV, channel 35.

Trackside has launched other shows outside normal betting times, including racing replay shows, preview and review shows, as well as content from Australia. The Trackside live race coverage is broadcast out of Avalon studios, so as to be close to other facilities such as raceday control. Viewer numbers average around 400,000 weekly.
